Just got some cool news! I will personally be doing a book signing for "The Contemporary Illustrated Pin-up" book at the New York Comic Con next month! In case you didn't know, earlier this week I mentioned that my pin-up work was going to be published in the book, alongside fourteen other pin-up artists. To know that I will be participating in the promotion of the new book just put the cherry on top for me this week!

Here's the news I hinted at today! ( If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter ) My pin-up art is going to be published in "The Contemporary Illustrated Pin-up" book by Schiffer Publishing. I will be featured alongside 14 other artists that were selected for this collection. Words can not explain how excited, nervous, yet overall happy I feel. A part of me is going out to the masses and I can't wait for everyone to see it.

More details to come!

Baltimore Comic Con is this weekend, September 8th and 9th. I'll be in Artist Alley at table A106. This year I'm having a HUGE (prices so low it's scandalous!)original art sale! Normally I would just bring one portfolio, but this year I'll be bringing three portfolios chock-full of original art that's dying to be put into someone's little hot hands and given a home! What kind of original art did you say? One portfolio is filled with nothing but zombie sketches. These sketches are all from the "Zombie A Day" personal project/blog I had going on a few years ago. The other portfolios? Filled with other original art, pinups, and sketch cards. Speaking of sketch cards, I will have my artist exclusive Sheena, Josie &  the Pussycats, and Katie Cook's Kitty Ditties with me ready to be sketched up!

In addition to original art, I will also have new sketchbooks, prints and other goodies that I will have at the show. I'm super excited to see you all. Stop by and say hi!

What's up? Been a while since I've posted. Been super busy with art and life in general! Thought I would drop a quick line and let you all know that my first show of the year is coming up this weekend! That's right, the CGS Supershow! The show keeps getting bigger and better each year. If I had to describe it, the show is one HUGE artist's alley, I kid you not! Plus the night before we all get together and get to know one another and DRINK. So...if anyone is in the area, come by 3rd and Spruce in West Reading, PA! If I drink enough, you never know I may end up drawing naked ladies on bar napkins...get in a fist fight with other partrons...who knows? But besides that, make it out April 30th and May 1st for the most awesome show on earth. I'll be there with some new merchandise, doing con sketches, and drinking way too much coffee.

Come on out, see you there!!!

Synopsis:
The forces of Hell continue to visit Angelique as she recovers from her gunshot wound in the hospital.  Having lost her fiance in the same senseless act of violence she fights to come to grips with his untimely passing.  Watching her suffer, Syphus decides to raise his efforts to control her dark secret.  Just as it looks as if she will plunge headlong into the abyss, Angelique is visited by a stranger who brings with him a promise of hope.

I recently added a new design on a site called "patch together". Basically peeps can submit thier original designs to be made into toys, plush, etc. The more votes I get the better the chance of this getting made into a cool vinyl!

I think you have to register to vote, which I know maybe a hassle, but every vote counts! Think how cool is this is made into a vinyl toy?!?! Anyone that knows me knows I love designer vinyl!

So please vote cause you guys know I never ask anything from you. Well unless it's coffee, then I'll ask ;)

Here's the link to the art posted in my gallery...[link]

Baltimore Comic Con was here and sped on by this weekend! The show was really cool per usual. After being on hiatus from cons for over a year, it felt good being back. Thanks to everyone that stopped by and bought prints,  sketchbooks, and for grabbing freebies!  It was great seeing familiar faces and some new ones.  It was a crazy weekend and lots of fun.

Thanks especially to anyone that came by the table and checked on me from time to time, it was most appreciated! (especially Pat and his daughter saved my sat. morning with coffee!)  Everyone that did is the BEST!

Should be posting some of the commissions I did at the show soon, need time to recuperate from the weekend still.... just wanted to say thanks again!

There's a nice little interview on me over at [link] the Super Show Approved website! If you ever wanted to know how my caffeinated brain thinks, now is the time to find out! Super Show Approved is a site that supports and promotes artists/writers at our yearly Comic Geek Speak Super Show . The next show is March 27-28 of 2010. If you are interested in attending or finding out what the buzz is all about, clicky here. [link] will be more news as time progresses.

Baltimore Comic Con is coming up! [link] of the best comic conventions that's on the east coast I guarantee! There will be many guests, Frank Cho, Robert Kirkman, JG Jones, to name a few. Oh, and I will be there too! :D I will be at table 151. I will also have some new prints, freebies, and even a new sketchbook featuring my Zombie A Day blog. Plus, I will be having free mini preview comics of the Key #2 that I will be giving away FREE. The comic itself should be available end of November/beginning of December for pre-order. And last but not least, I will be doing convention sketches at the show. I usually only do 5-6 per day, so if you're interested come swing by the table first thing in the morning/early afternoon. My list fills up pretty quickly.

Hope to see you all there!

Some of you may or may not know, I've done some burlesque posters in the past. Recently I found out they were looking for submissions for the Burlesque Poster Design Book, the Art of Tease! but was way too late to submit any art. Neverless, I was still interested in getting the book since I'm a huge fan of burlesque and poster art.  Imagine my surprise while I was flipping through the book only to  find a snippet of a poster I did! ! Pretty cool right? I feel fortunate to be included with some amazing artists that appear in the book. The artists included are Shag, Mr. Reusch, R. Black! and many others. The book covers the infancy of burlesque, famous/infamous burlesque dancers, past posters, and present. Published by Korero books.

The link shows the cover of the book, the scan image (didn't do that great of a job, art was on the spine!) and the actual poster.

Apologies for the link instead of the actual pic! I have to be a premium member to be able to insert images on my journal here ;)

Something new I started a few weeks ago. A new blog with a new quick sketch each day. Only thing is they're zombies! It's called Zombie A Day. For the next 365 days I will be making one zombie sketch, scribble, rendering, etc. and will post it on this blog! Maybe eventually I will print it all in one neat little book. That's if I last 365 days. ;)

Oy.  ^ _ ^

Just a reminder I will be at the 29 hour WIld Pig Sale tommorrow! If you happen to be in the North Jersey area, its worth the trip. Why? Well first off, everything in the store is 50% off! Nothing is marked up prior to the sale, everything is priced as is. That's right, trades, comics, and who know what other goodies will be available! I think they may even be selling DVDs this time around, sweet!

The sale starts tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. and ends Sunday at 5 p.m. If you are planning to go, I recommend getting there early, the line gets long quick and parking goes quick!

Also I I will be attempting to do 24 pin-ups in 24 hours. That's right 24 pin-ups in 24 hours! I will be charging  $10 for pencil, and $15 for ink. These prices are for the sale only. Anyone that usually sees me at conventions, knows my prices usually start at $20 on up.

And as promised I will be bringing the rough penciled pages of "the Key" #2 to the show. And as always I will be having "the Key" #1 and the ashcan for sale...

And before I forget,  there will be some fantastic artists coming as well attempting to create 24 page comics in 24 hours!

• Webcomic sensation Danielle Corsetto of girlswithslingshots.com
• The inimitable Jamie Hatton of inhislikeness.com!
• David Gallaher and Steve Ellis, creators of DC's online Zuda Comics werewolf western 'High Moon'
• Pete Stathis, the creator of the acclaimed Evenfall series published by Blue Feather Press!
• Bill Ellis of Silver-Rage.com!
• Peter and Robert Timony, creators of Zuda Comics "The Night Owls"
